Book Bag Tags
This school year, students who ride a bus in the a.m. or p.m. will be required to wear a tag on their back pack. The tag includes information about the student, bus name, location, grade, track and phone numbers. Please help us keep this tag on for the ENTIRE school year & notify us ASAP if the tag is lost! Daily Folders Parents - Please check your child's folder each night & initial the Daily Communication Sheet to let us know that you have reviewed any notes and homework assignments. Feel free to write notes or questions in the folder as well. Students should bring their folder to school each day. Friday Folders Parents - Please check Friday Folders for important flyers, our weekly class newsletter, & "graded" classwork/assessments. Please remove & review all classwork and return Friday Folders each Monday. Behavior Management Students will earn Class Dojo points for demonstrating on task behavior, working hard, helping others, following directions, & more. Students will earn prizes after reaching Class Dojo goals. As a class, students will earn Smart Cookies (on the cookie jar poster in our classroom) for working hard, working quietly, following directions, etc. We will also earn Chompliments for walking properly in line, demonstrating good behavior in the cafeteria, & meeting expectations in Specials classes. Conferences We will meet at least twice during the school year. We will meet for a traditional parent-teacher conference after 1st Quarter. Parents will also be invited to a special "Student Led Conference" night during 3rd Quarter. This will be a unique opportunity for your child to show you what he/she has been learning. I am always available to meet with parents for additional conferences as needed. Transportation If you would like to change your child's method of transportation on any particular day, please notify me IN WRITING (email or note in the daily folder) or by calling the main office. Birthdays We are encouraging parents to send in goody bags with non-edible trinkets for students instead of bringing sweet treats. If you would like to bring in birthday treats, please let me know in advance so that we can accommodate our students with allergies. Parents may only bring treats during our scheduled lunch time. |
